Oak Bay Condo Downsize

To help our client downsize from a full-sized home into a petite condo, we took advantage of every nook in the home with creative built-ins to incorporate her many art pieces. By layering a variety of textures against a neutral background with carefully edited artwork and a balanced use of bold colour, we created richness and luxury without visually overwhelming the small spaces. 

To accommodate her king-sized bed in a master bedroom designed for a queen mattress, we designed a custom bedframe with integrated sconce lighting, electrical outlets, and floating bedside tables with an upholstered headboard. A large area rug provides soft comfort underfoot, with red and rust tones that add luxury to the room in harmony with colours elsewhere in the home.

In the dining area, we chose a complementary blue as the backdrop for a stunning copper mask and designed a walnut buffet inlaid with copper to bounce each design element off the other. We also created a custom, built-in bar area in a formerly unused nook in the dining room, proving that even the smallest spaces can be reimagined into a perfect blend of form and function.
