Serenity At Wedgewood Estates
Victoria BC
An intricate Chinese screen became the focal point that drove our design in this traditional home, where we incorporated many of the clients’ existing pieces, like her curved sofas, which we reupholstered and finished with new throws and pillows tied together with a beautiful wool area rug from Babek’s. To finish the room, we refinished the fireplace, creating a conversation area warmed by the fire itself and embraced by gentle blue and blonde wood tones.
In the bathroom, we removed walls to create luxurious space, with a freestanding clawfoot tub and white cabinetry enhanced by pale blue walls and floors reminiscent of bleached driftwood.
The kitchen was a complete renovation, and the homeowner wanted it to remain separate from her dining room. We brought in mosaic tile and custom barstool upholstery to add depth and colour to her all-white design, with a blend of traditional and glass cabinet doors along with open shelving for displays. Together with carefully planned counter space and storage, the kitchen, like the rest of the home, maintains a peaceful and clean take on traditional design. It’s a home where lightness of space creates a feeling of serenity, further brightened by careful use of bold colour.
